That is what it means when someone asks you to “SAY A FEW WORDS” at someone’s Funeral. You are given opportunity to lift up those things that are Eternal and from God – those human qualities and virtues are used by God to enrich, enlighten and brighten this life ~ because of what this loved one did and said, modelled and created…while in our midst. Now we say: “we remember” and “thank you”…
“All of us will leave some legacy of intangible qualities behind, either positive or negative, either of kindness and generosity or of bitterness and anger. We will be remembered for actions and attributes our survivors may be proud of, embarrassed by, or ashamed about.”
